‘Day of the Dead’ Tour II (Mexico City – Oaxaca)

Day 1 Arriving at Mexico City
Upon arrival at Mexico City, you will be picked up from the airport, and settled at your hotel. We will provide overview of the trip. The city center - zocalo, is a walking distance from the hotel where you can go on your own.
Day 2 Oaxaca
Today we will leave for Oaxaca in the morning by 8 am. The flight will take about 1.5 hours. Up on arrival, you will be taken to your hotels. The evening is free. Oaxaca is a small town. You can take a walking tour to the city center, or visit the famous church of Santa Domingo.
Day 3 Monte Albán + Oaxaca City Tour
Today after breakfast, we will head to Monte Albán. The area has been surrounded by indigenous people for centuries. These people speak different indigenous languages, and have customs and culture quite similar to India. In the afternoon, we will take the city tour of Oaxaca, and explore famous monuments and Spanish colonial architecture of its churches, and other buildings. Day of the Dead festivity at night.
Day 4 Hierve al Agua + Mezcal Factory, Day of the Dead Festivity
Today after breakfast, we will head out to see Hierva al Agua - a natural hot water spring in the middle of picturesque mountains. Please take your swim suits, towel and water with you. On the way back we will stop by a Mezcal factory and see first hand how this famous drink is made from the plant of Agave. Today is the last day of Day of the Dead festivity.
Day 5 Mexico City (Teotihuacan)
After breakfast, we will take a flight to return back to Mexico City. After checking in the hotel, we will visit the ruins of Teotihuacan in the evening. You can climb up the Sun, and Moon pyramids. Visitors are advised to bring caps, water, and sun glasses as it gets quite hot during the day.
Day 6 Mexico City Tour
Today after breakfast, we will begin the tour of Mexico City from 10 am. The tour will include visit to Zocalo, Natural History museum, Frida Kahlo house, Independence Memorial, and other famous monuments of Mexico City. The city is listed as number one destination to visit in 2016 by the New York Times. It looks very much like a European city with its architectural beauty.
Day 7 Check out
Today is last day of the package tour. You will be dropped off at the airport up on checking out from the hotel, or continue with your onward journey in Mexico.

  • Customers will get full refund for hotels, and local tours for cancellation of trip 30-days prior to their scheduled date of departure. They will be charged for the domestic airfare tickets as they are booked one month in advance.
  • No refund will be issued for cancellation of trip within 7-days of scheduled date of departure. We have blocked rooms with local hotels, and tour operators by this time.
  • Customers will be issued a check for the refund amount within 15 days of the cancellation.
